Pretty Unique

Was pointed to a website that tells you how many people in the United States share your name. I don't know if they just use statistical models based on the commonality of the names or if they use some database.

HowManyOfMe.com
LogoThere are:
78
people with my name
in the U.S.A.

How many have your name?

At only 78 people, that means my name is only shared by 0.000026% of the population of the U.S.

without first checking, how many Michael Scotts would you guess are out there? Here in Winston-Salem, a town of about 200,000, there is even another Michael D. Scott listed in the phone book.

I'll check the link, and report back once you make a guess.

I ran the whole family, but I've forgotten. I did separate entries for Mike & Michael.

On the page, it doea say they use statistical and demographic data to estimate. Essentially, I think they just multiply the likelihood of having the first name by the likelihood of having the last name, so it's not really accurate to any degree of certainty.

It said there are 62 Abigail Gonzalezes in the US, but it said that there are NO Rebekah Guttings, which is of course wrong...I gues my last name makes me more popular.

There was only one of me until I married you.

23 for me. Only 3 for Casey, which is pretty unique I guess. I'd tend to agree with other comments, the calculations may be a little off, but it's still a fun exercise.
