I was finally able to bring my new computer home. It took CompUSA almost a week to get the data transferred from the old, dead box to the new machine. I still haven't found my old e-mail messages, but so far, I've found everything I needed.
When I picked it up, the guy said I would have to re-install all my third party software. He was wrong. Apparently, this is yet another reason Macs are superior to Windows PCs.

I once heard a gem about everyone in the world stacking up all their troubles into one big pile, and how most people would be content to just take back their contribution and go home. This post is ample evidence of that.
