Getting in Shape Update 52

Tomorrow is the one year anniversary of my effort to lose the weight I need to lose. I started off so well.



Starting Weight = 267.0

Last Week's Weight = 224.0

Today's Weight = 225.5

Weight Gain in past week = 1.5 pounds



TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS
= 41.5 pounds

It only seems like you are not doing well. You can't argue that 225 is MUCH better than 267. I'm proud of you. Going up a little in this season of treats is pretty normal. Once you get all of that snacking out of your system, you'll be on a roll again.

Hang in there, Marty. Jody's right. Seems we all get a lot more tempted to indulge during the holidays. Don't give up on yourself, and don't quit. Change your goals for the season to simply maintain, or maybe even to hold any weight gain to five lbs, and you'll feel lots better - less frustrated and not cheated out of "the good stuff" - for your efforts. And think about this....how great is it that you'll start out the new year in the 220s instead of the 260s?? Congratulations on your outstanding weight loss, and best wishes to you and your family for a great Christmas and a Happy 2006.
